Jasim, 10 years old, is an orphan who lives with his older brother in extreme poverty in Iraq. Because he had to work for a living, Jasim left school and spent most of his time on the streets trying to sell simple things such as tissue and candy. On the streets, he was exposed many times to physical assault and beatings. When he would come home, he would cry because of the intense fatigue and fear. In addition, he suffered from malnutrition, poor hygiene, and skin disease. Caring Iraqi adults in his community reached out to Jasim and, with the help of your sponsorship, he is receiving tutoring, healthy meals, other services, and lots of love and compassion.
Thank you, Mike and Sue, for giving Jasim the chance to experience a normal childhood!
