A caring community reached out to support Noor

SICF Holiday Campaign 2012 Noor
Dear a,

Noor is 10 years old. She lost her mother a few years ago and now lives with her father in a one room abode built of clay and metal cans. Her father struggles to make a living during the daytime so Noor is constantly left on her own. In the past, she worked collecting soda cans from the garbage and was abused several times. Caring Iraqis in the community reached out to her and replaced the suffering in her life with love and care. Now, with the help of your sponsorship, she has the opportunity to be a child and to play, learn, and receive social and health care services.

The mission of the Sponsor Iraqi Children Foundation is to assist the families and communities of Iraq by mobilizing a life-changing “Surge of Love” for millions of children orphaned by violence in Iraq. They are committed to doing this under the leadership of the Iraqi people by serving as a catalyst to mobilize U.S. and international partners; investing in training and capacity building of Iraq’s non-governmental and community organizations; and emphasizing direct assistance for hand up, not hand out, projects.

With your help, children like Noor can reclaim their childhood.
