Sajad has perservered despite daily obstacles

SICF Holiday Campaign 2012 Sajad
Dear Michelle, Scott, Rosalia, Connor, Alan, Ann, Ali and Maggie, Rebecca, Christa, and Caitie,

Sajad is an orphaned 13 year old who lives with his grandfather in desperate poverty. Although Sajad is handicapped, he worked in the streets and sold tissue at traffic lights for a living. He never attended school and longed to learn how to read and write. Caring adults in his Iraqi community reached out to him and helped his dream come true. Today, with the help of your sponsorship, Sajad is not only learning to read and write but is receiving social, health, and nutritional care.

The mission of the Sponsor Iraqi Children Foundation is to assist the families and communities of Iraq by mobilizing a life-changing “Surge of Love” for millions of children orphaned by violence in Iraq. They are committed to doing this under the leadership of the Iraqi people by serving as a catalyst to mobilize U.S. and international partners; investing in training and capacity building of Iraq’s non-governmental and community organizations; and emphasizing direct assistance for hand up, not hand out, projects.

With your help, children like Sajad can reclaim their childhood.
