Sabiha is now off the streets

SICF Holiday Campaign 2012 Sabiha
Dear Friend, Sabeen, Percy, and Dileep,

Thank you all for generously supporting the Sponsor Iraqi Children Foundation. Your contributions help Sabiha, a nine year old orphan. She and her five year old sister live with relatives because their parents were killed by terrorists. Sabiha’s relatives made her sell candy on the streets and then collect soda cans to bring them money, but caring Iraqi adults in her community reached out to her and today, with the help of your sponsorship, Sabiha no longer works on the streets. She now spends her childhood days in a safe environment where she is getting educational, social, health, and nutritional care.

The mission of the Sponsor Iraqi Children Foundation is to assist the families and communities of Iraq by mobilizing a life-changing “Surge of Love” for millions of children orphaned by violence in Iraq. They are committed to doing this under the leadership of the Iraqi people by serving as a catalyst to mobilize U.S. and international partners; investing in training and capacity building of Iraq’s non-governmental and community organizations; and emphasizing direct assistance for hand up, not hand out, projects.

With your help, Friend, Sabeen, Percy, and Dileep, children like Sabiha can reclaim their childhood.
