Raghad can recover her lost childhood

SICF_Raghad
Dear Katrina, Jaye, Betsy, Cindy & Steve, Mark, Rie, Ben, and Suzanne,

12 year-old Raghad lives with her grandmother in desperate poverty in Iraq. She worked as a housekeeper in order to earn a living and was sometimes subjected to abuse. She would cry when she saw other girls her age going to school when she couldn’t. Caring adults in her Iraqi community reached out to her and today, with the help of your sponsorship, they are providing her with a place where she can recover her lost childhood and enjoy tutoring, healthy meals, health care, and social services.

The mission of the Sponsor Iraqi Children Foundation is to assist the families and communities of Iraq by mobilizing a life-changing “Surge of Love” for millions of children orphaned by violence in Iraq. They are committed to doing this under the leadership of the Iraqi people by serving as a catalyst to mobilize U.S. and international partners; investing in training and capacity building of Iraq’s non-governmental and community organizations; and emphasizing direct assistance for hand up, not hand out, projects.

Thank you Katrina, Jaye, Betsy, Cindy & Steve, Mark, Rie, Ben, and Suzanne for giving a child like Raghad the chance at a better childhood.
