Mustafa is cared for

SICF_Mustafa
Dear Sheldon, David, Durwood, Carolyn, Carl, Cindi, Lindsay, Linda, and Stephanie,

Mustafa is nine years old and lives with his family in a room built of mud and reeds in very poor area. When he was discovered, Mustafa had never had a toy before and had never attended school. Instead, he was spending his time on the streets, suffering from neglect, lack of nutrition, poor hygiene, and skin diseases. Caring adults in his Iraqi community reached out to him more than a year ago and today, with your generous sponsorship support, Mustafa is receiving loving care, tutoring, healthy meals, social and health care.

The mission of the Sponsor Iraqi Children Foundation is to assist the families and communities of Iraq by mobilizing a life-changing “Surge of Love” for millions of children orphaned by violence in Iraq. They are committed to doing this under the leadership of the Iraqi people by serving as a catalyst to mobilize U.S. and international partners; investing in training and capacity building of Iraq’s non-governmental and community organizations; and emphasizing direct assistance for hand up, not hand out, projects.

Thank you all for giving a child like Mustafa the chance at a better childhood.
